FURTHER
Modeled after one of our earliest guitar experiments (later known as "Wolf"), the Further guitar is simply put one of the coolest and unique guitars around.
The semi hollow contruction helps keep the weight down to a managable 8ish pounds. The small body balances well on a guitar strap and likewise when playing seated.
Equipped with extremely flexible electronics that bring you from robust lows to clear and distinct highs, the Further doesn't disappoint in the tone department. On the contrary, this instrument allows you to hear even the most subtle of your techniques, and encourages you to develop your own voice.
Flexibility is the theme of the Further electronics. Each pickup has its own pickup selector switch, tone filter, and preamp. Any pickup combination is available, including all on and all off. Additionally, the pickup selectors have a bright setting which is adjustable with a trimpot.
The onboard effects loop takes your existing effects to a new level of control. You can operate the loop with a switch on the guitar, so you add your effects from anywhere on the stage, not just in front of your pedalboard. Additionally, the effects return can be patched in before or after the volume control on the guitar via an internal jumper.
From the near black tip of the Ebony peghead, down the Ebony fingerboard to the 5A Quilted Maple top, the Further guitar is a beauty to behold. We make the neck through body from Western Flame Maple, Purpleheart and Cherry for a tone that's plenty bright enough, but never approaching brittle. The satin neck feel is fast and never a chance of feeling sticky. The Purpleheart body core is framed by four thin layers of Maple and Purpleheart that have a look similar to binding. The back is a premium Western Flame Maple laminate.
Can a guitar take you further? We think you'll agree that it can.
